Final Project Possible Media Platforms

Second Life: a virtual world-builder with avatars. Would your reader better understand something if they saw it acted out? Are there multiple ways that a scene could occur that would change the reading/meaning of the text?

Prezi: More of an advanced PowerPoint, but its interactive features might help you connect documents and make charts in a way that allows your reader/user to find what they need.

Podcasts: recorded audio or audio/visual messages for subscribed readers. Would there be several for your text? Do readers need to break away from the text at certain points to listen/watch? What interactive elements of podcasts might help a reader engage with the text?

Digital Scrapbook: How might you make this interactive? What images, or objects should be “captured” or “preserved” that relate to your text? Could you connect it to Instagram? Twitter?

Weebly or Wix: help you create your own website (its so easy, I did it!) They have a lot of apps and add ons that can make your site more divers and interactive. Forums, links to Facebook, Pinterest, etc., forms. This might be a great place to start a project if you have an idea, but are unsure what media platform to use.

Toki-toki: an interactive timeline tool that allows you to input photos, videos, connect dates and objects and ideas.

Omeka: a collections and exhibit builder.
